What is hypnotherapy?
Healing by trance has been acknowledged for centuries and has been
observed and used - in one form or another - in virtually every
culture throughout the world.
Hypnosis (from the Greek 'hypnos', meaning 'sleep') is a state of
mind enhanced by (although not exclusisvly) mental and physical
relaxation in which our subconscious is able to communicate with
our conscious mind. This state of mind may be brought about either
by self-hypnosis or with the help of a trained professional, who
utilises the state to encourage positive change to occur. The process
is referred to as 'Hypnohtrapy'.
Hypnotherapy is a psychological and counselling therapy which attempts
to address the client's subconscious mind by using a broad spectrum
of techniques. These range from: metaphors and symbolism, story
telling, to direct suggestions and analitical techniques for the
treatment of emotional, psychological or physical disorders, unwanted
habits and undesirable feelings.
Hypnotherapy is considered to be a fairly short-term approach in
which beneficial change should become apparant within relativley
few sessions. |

Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), first introduced in 1936 by Drs. Emil
and Estrid Vodder of Denmark, is today an indispensable part of
Physiotherapy.
MLD is a procedure in which the lymphatic circulation is stimulated
with slow and careful pumping massage movements of the hand and
the thumb. The thin lymph vessels run through the body's tissue
like a drainage system, in which the lymphatic fluid is transported
via large collective vessels - the lymph nodes and onto the blood
stream. MLD attempts to illuminate waste products from connective
tissue and to improve the metabolic situation.
Congestive conditions can be cleared up with this technique. This
is often the result of postoperative abdominal surgery and surgical
treatment of breast cancer. With MLD painful swelling is removed
and healing is encouraged.
With MLD we treat all lymph nodes that are accessible to our hands.
Thus we treat some of the most important organs of the body's immune
system and keep the lymph pathways clear, because lymphoostatsis
(blockage of the lymph) can prevent the immunoglobins from reaching
the sites where they are needed.
Lymph Drainage is a healthy, natural, painless and absolutely effective
method that gives a new basis to life, health and beauty. |
